School Lunch Advisory Council

To improve the USDA Foods programs in school districts active in the National School Lunch Program.

About

The School Lunch Advisory Council (SLAC) is hosted by the Office of General Services (OGS) with the purpose of improving the USDA Foods programs in school districts active in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). The council includes a representative from a school district in each OGS distribution area, relevant state agencies, and the New York School Nutrition Association (NYSNA).

Representatives commit to a three-year term, attend three annual meetings, conduct training, participate in improvement efforts, and serve as their area’s representative. To be eligible to volunteer as a representative, you must be a food service professional (director or business official) working at an eligible school district.

For more information about this opportunity, please contact [email protected].
