
Robert Franchini
Agency Emergency Management Coordinator
Robert Franchini has been the Agency Emergency Management Coordinator for OGS since 2020. Previously, he served four years as an Operation and Planning Specialist with the Office of Emergency Management under the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES), where he worked on emergency plans and helped coordinate State agency emergency response activity.
Before joining the State agency workforce, Robert was a legislative analyst with the NYS Assembly, there he worked on the Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions. Prior to that, he was with a Deputy Regional Director for U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer’s Albany regional office.
Robert received his BA from SUNY Oneonta and his Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Albany’s Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy, where he specialized in homeland security, policy process, and political Institutions.
