OGS manages and maintains 20 million square feet of state-owned office, warehouse, and other required space on behalf of Executive Department agencies throughout New York State. That means there is a lot of work related to heating, cooling, electricity, and plumbing.

While most of our plant operations positions are in the Albany area, OGS also needs utilities workers at our buildings in Harlem, Brooklyn, Hauppauge, Binghamton, Watertown, Hornell, Syracuse, Utica, Poughkeepsie, Oneonta, and Hawthorne.
No degree? No Problem.
No college degree is required if you have at least one year of commercial or residential HVAC experience. You can also apply with certain qualified military experience, successful completion of a BOCES or technical school program, completion of a recognized apprentice program, or an associate's degree.
