Associate Commissioner for Real Property and Facilities Management
Peter Lukasiewicz currently serves as the Associate Commissioner for Real Property and Facilities Management. In this role, Peter provides executive leadership and strategic direction to approximately 1,100 OGS employees working across 10 programs focused on providing essential services to state agencies, state employees, and visitors.
These programs are Utilities; Plaza Operations; Parking Services; Health, Safety and Security Services; Emergency Management and Planning; Asset Management and Planning; Albany Area State Office Buildings, Upstate Regional State Office Buildings; Downstate Regional Office Buildings; and Harriman Campus Operations.
With more than two decades in state service, Peter has risen steadily through progressively responsible positions within multiple state agencies, including the Office of Child and Family Services, the Office of Mental Health, and the Office of General Services.
Peter received his BA in Political Science from Furman University, served as a military intelligence officer with the U.S. Army, and worked in the private sector for 13 years before joining the state workforce.
