In 1964, OGS held a contest to name its internal newspaper. OGS employee Henry J. Wagner’s suggestion, “OGS Searchlight,” was selected because it symbolized the objectives of the paper to “search out and bring to light news of general interest.” Mr. Wagner won a clock radio as a prize for his winning submission.
