Six Companies Receive New York State Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Certification

Office of General Services Commissioner RoAnn Destito today announced that the following six businesses have recently been certified by the Office of General Services’ (OGS) Division of Service-Disabled Veterans’ Business Development (DSDVBD):  

  • Topping Security Solutions Inc., located in Massapequa, NY, provides investigation and security services.
     
  • Veterans Painting and Papering Inc., located in Plainview, NY, specializes in wall papering and painting services.
     
  • Band of Brotherhood Inc., located in Cropseyville, NY, provides general construction.
     
  • Forest Kitchen and Bath, located in Glen Cove, NY, retails specialized lines of new building materials.
     
  • Ambire Consulting Inc., located in San Diego, CA, develops applications and specializes in system architecture.
     
  • Valiant Group LLC, located in Lancaster, PA, provides construction management.

The Division was created by Governor Andrew Cuomo in May, 2014 with enactment of the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Act. As of August 28, 2019, a total of 699 businesses have been certified.

The Act promotes and encourages participation of SDVOBs in NYS public procurements of public works, commodities, services and technology to foster and advance economic development in the State.
