In order to participate in the NYS OGS Procurement Services Road Salt and Treated Salt – Types 1 & 2 contract for the above referenced contract period, contract Authorized Users must submit filed requirements through the online web-based system for filing BY NO LATER THAN: FRIDAY, MAY 1st, 2026.
Authorized Users are advised to read through the instructions and information below BEFORE submitting filed requirements in the OGS online web-based system located here: https://online2.ogs.ny.gov/PSGFiledRequirements/
When submitting filed requirements, please note the following:
- MINIMUM ANNUAL REQUIREMENT: Minimum annual requirement is 22 tons (44,000 LBS).
- OBLIGATION TO PURCHASE: Authorized Users are obligated to purchase a minimum of 60% of the total filed requirement amount per salt type with the exception of the counties listed below:
Authorized Users with delivery locations in the following nine (9) counties are obligated to purchase a minimum of 50% of the total filed requirement amount per salt type: Bronx, Kings, Nassau, New York, Queens, Richmond, Rockland, Suffolk, Westchester. - GUARANTEED DELIVERY:
Authorized Users are guaranteed a delivery maximum of 130% of the total filed requirement amount per salt type. - PRICE INCREASES: Orders over 120% and 130% of the total filed requirement, per salt type, may be subject to price increases of 10% and 15% respectively.

Authorized Users with existing OGS filing accounts will need a username and password to access the filing system. If an Authorized User does not have logon credentials, they will need to create a new filing account:
- To create a new filing account, Authorized Users will need their OGS Authorized User Number.
- Please be advised that the process to obtain an OGS Authorized User Number may take a few days to complete. This number will not be provided over the phone.
- Authorized Users that do not know their OGS Authorized User Number or do not currently have one may contact Procurement Services Customer Services at 518-474-6717 or [email protected] to obtain this information.
IF DELIVERY IS REQUIRED FOR MORE THAN ONE LOCATION, separate filed requirements for each delivery point must be entered in the system.
Authorized Users will not be guaranteed participation under the contract unless filed requirements are submitted by no later than FRIDAY, May 1st, 2026.
INCOMPLETE or LATE submissions may result in an inability to procure Road Salt and/or Treated Salt - Types 1 & 2 under the OGS contract during the above referenced contract period. Authorized Users must submit their requirements by the date shown above. The data submitted must include a contact person, telephone number, and email address.
BY SUBMITTING THIS FILED REQUIREMENT, THE FILER IS MAKING A BINDING COMMITMENT ON BEHALF OF THE ENTITY LISTED TO PURCHASE SALT THROUGH THE RESULTING CONTRACT AWARD. THE ENTITY IS OBLIGATED TO PURCHASE NO LESS THAN THE MINIMUM TONNAGE AMOUNT OF THE FILED REQUIREMENT SUBMITTED, AS SPECIFIED IN THE RESULTING CONTRACT.
