The Office of General Services Procurement Services (OGS) is conducting this survey to determine if there is a need for statewide contracts for Renewable Diesel and Off-Road Use Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel. As a result, we are collecting information both from Authorized Users and Vendors in order to best gauge the need for these types of fuel.
For the purpose of this survey, definitions of the different fuels are provided in the table below.
Fuel Type | Definition / Description |
Bio-Diesel (B5, B10, B20) | A biodegradable fuel manufactured from vegetable oils, animal fats, or recycled restaurant grease that meets ASTM D6751 (or latest version thereof). |
Off-Road Diesel | Fuel that is primarily used to power equipment, generators, and vehicles that do not operate on U.S. highways and roads. Usually dyed red. |
On-Road Diesel (Regular, Premium) | Fuel that is primarily used in the transportation of passengers or freight that conforms to the requirements of ASTM D975-17a (or latest version thereof). Usually free of dye. |
Renewable Diesel (R99) | Aka “green” diesel, a biomass-derived transportation fuel suitable for use in diesel engines. |
Please assist us in determining the demand for renewable diesel, diesel, and biodiesel. The survey takes about 8 minutes to complete and we invite you to please take our survey no later than Friday, November 8, 2019 by clicking the link below.
