New York State Procurement Council
Membership Information
The Council consists of 21 members plus two non-voting observers as set forth below. The members serve without compensation but are allowed the necessary and actual expenses incurred in the performance of their duties. Estimated expenses below are based on travel expenses between the member's home and the Empire State Plaza where Council meetings are held.
Ex Officio and State Agency Members
The ex officio members are the Commissioner of General Services (who serves as Chair), the State Comptroller, the Director of the Budget, the Chief Diversity Officer, and the Commissioner of Economic Development or their respective designees. In addition, the Governor designates the heads of seven other State agencies, or their respective designees, to serve as members. The individuals listed below are the primary designees. Some agencies have designated alternates who may attend meetings of the Council when the primary designee is unavailable.

The Governor appoints one member representing either a not-for-profit New York-based organization engaged in the marketing and/or promotion of New York-grown farm and agricultural products or a not-for-profit New York-based organization engaged solely in the advocacy, marketing and/or promotion of organic New York grown farm and agricultural products.
