Replacing an 11,000 square foot structure built in the 1970s, there is an all-new Field Maintenance Shop for the New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs (DMNA) Armory on Glenmore Road in Troy, New York right next to the 42nd Infantry Division.
The new 18,800 state-of-the-art Field Maintenance Shop houses three general purpose work-bays which allow six military vehicles to be serviced inside simultaneously. There are also outdoor concrete aprons which enable additional vehicles to be serviced in good weather.
About 75% of construction waste on this project was recycled or reused. The facility includes:
LEED-accreditation
Solar panels
Water conservation
Rainwater harvesting
OGS manages a portfolio of more than 1,070 projects for our state agency clients. With a combined value of nearly $4.2 billion, we strive to maximize sustainability throughout the project lifecycle, like recycling or reusing construction waste.
