Joe Brill

Director for Public Information

Director for Public Information, Joe Brill, started working in the OGS Communications Office in 2012. He is responsible for creating press releases and other forms of communication essential to the promotion and public’s understanding of the agency and its role in Executive Chamber initiatives.

Joe previously worked for more than a decade as a journalist at media outlets in the Hudson Valley, serving as a reporter, photographer, and editor. He began his career in journalism coving State government as an intern at The Legislative Gazette and returned to the publication many years later as its deputy editor and internship coordinator.

Joe earned a BA in Communication Management with a minor in Journalism at SUNY New Paltz. He received an MA in Political Communication from the University at Albany.
