Overview
The following resources are provided to Affected Entities under Executive Order 22 and other New York State government entities seeking to train staff on a variety of topics related to electric vehicles (EVs).
EV Introduction Guide
This guide will serve as your introduction to electric vehicles and provide the information you need to begin your EV driving experience.

These core modules are available free of charge to New York State employees through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
Modules are tailored to different roles and audiences, as noted by the following:
EV Drivers (EVD): Any potential driver of a fleet electric vehicle. These users will need to ensure basic vehicle operation and charging in addition to State policies around charger use and parking.
Fleet Managers (FLM): Those who are directly involved in the management of an Entity’s fleet. These users will need to identify and phase electrification of their fleet, oversee the implementation of policies, and coordinate with business units, facility managers, and parking operations teams in all facets of the vehicle’s use.
Facility Managers (FCM):Those responsible for the management of a facility. These roles will necessitate assistance in siting and overseeing chargers, which may involve coordination with utilities and installation teams.
Soulful Synergy Core Modules
Candidates should apply using their state email credentials. Each module is 3 hours and will run on consecutive days (10:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. for daytime sessions, 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. for evening sessions).

- Best practices for site feasibility studies

Module 3 - EVCE Installation & Managed Charging (3 Hours) (FLM, FCM)
- Managed/networked charging
- EV charging planning, design, and strategy
- Operations and maintenance for EVs and chargers
