Darrin Derosia
Deputy Counsel
Darrin Derosia serves as Deputy Counsel for OGS. Darrin came to OGS in 2011 as an Assistant Counsel. His work involves diverse subject matters, including legislative matters, real property transactions, implementation of Executive Order No. 22 relating to green procurement and sustainable operations, including acting as Counsel to the GreenNY Council, matters involving the OGS energy group, as well as other special projects and administrative issues.
Prior to working at OGS, Darrin was an Associate Counsel with the New York State Department of State. At DOS, his work included all aspects of local government law. In 2007 and 2008, Darrin served as Counsel to the New York State Commission on Local Government Efficiency and Competitiveness (a/k/a The Ludine Commission). From 2000 through 2007, Darrin was the Corporation Counsel for the City of Cohoes, NY. He has also been an associate at an Albany law firm and an Assistant Public Defender.
Darrin received a JD from Albany Law School and a BS from the Pennsylvania State University.
