Betsy Pinho
Internal Controls Officer
As Internal Control Officer, Betsy partners with leaders and staff across OGS to design, monitor, and continuously review internal controls and control systems. This includes developing effective policies and procedures to address gaps, mitigate risks, that help the agency adapt to changing circumstances and mandates.
Betsy started her career in public service at the Office of the New York State Comptroller. Prior to joining OGS, she worked for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for over 15 years, conducting audits and financial reviews and assisting states with developing strong internal controls and corrective action plans to address deficiencies.
Betsy earned a BS in Accounting from the State University at Albany and an MBA from Sage Colleges. Betsy also has a Certified Public Accountant license.
