Anna Scaife

Chief of Staff

As Chief of Staff, Anna Scaife works with the Commissioner and leadership team to manage priorities, execute major initiatives, and aligning the agency’s work to its strategic direction. With a background in policy and executive operations, she brings a decade of experience in coordinating teams and sequencing work to deliver great outcomes.

Anna joined OGS from the NYS Department of Labor, where she served as a Policy Advisor. She began her public service career at the New York City Council, where she served as Chief of Staff to Councilmember Mark Treyger, who represented one of the most diverse areas in Brooklyn and chaired oversight committees on education and Hurricane Sandy recovery. Anna drove significant policy changes and investments to language access, economic development, workforce training, mental health and education.

A third-generation public servant, Anna grew up in the Albany area, and graduated from Barnard College with a BA in Political Science.
