The Office of General Services managed the overall expansion of the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision's (DOCCS) active training facility for correctional officer recruits and other staff training.
New Housing Construction
New three-story, 64,000-square-foot building construction to add housing for over 250 Correction Officer trainees. Features include bedrooms, classrooms, offices, lounges, and other support spaces.

New Gymnasium Construction
New 13,750-square-foot gymnasium building with a full-size basketball court, a training classroom, simulation room, restrooms and showers, and storage and maintenance.
Armory Expansion
1,150-square-foot expansion of the facility's Armory adjacent to the existing Correctional Emergency Response Team (CERT) building corridor.
Overall Site Improvements
- 300 new parking spaces.
- Relocation of the site's baseball/softball field.
- Expanded natural gas service to accommodate load requirements for the entire campus.
- Walking/hiking trails.
- Improvements to the stormwater management system, including an underground rainwater storage system, retention basin, and improvements to the ravine outfall.
- New generator sized to handle the facility's full load with an auto-transfer switch system.
