Design and Construction Coordination
The Bureau of Design and Construction Coordination provides architectural and engineering services, including design, budget analysis and estimating, and alteration and rehabilitation of state office buildings and tenant space renovations.
The Design and Construction Coordination staff consists of a diverse group of technicians, engineers, architects, and support staff who provide project management for maintaining project schedules and budget control. The Bureau is divided into the three following groups:
  • Design Studio: The Design Studio staff provides support to OGS Real Property Management and Development Business Units and tenant clients for design- related solutions, including landscape architecture, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental permitting, and surveying services.
  • Cost Control: The Cost Control staff supervises project budgets from the pre-design phase through the final design, and monitors bills received from contractors and vendors.
  • Construction Coordination: The Construction Coordination staff provides management support for capital construction projects and client tenant renovation work. Construction Coordination Project Managers are responsible for overseeing project schedules, coordinating design, controlling project spending and assisting with construction management activities.
