The OGS Business Services Center (BSC) is continuing its efforts to increase efficiencies, lower costs and support agencies utilizing the P2P process. In this session, we will review recommended best practices for ensuring successful and timely processing of your requisitions, purchase orders, receiving, invoices and vouchers.

Purchasing in New York State 101

This introductory course will help those new to state government procurement and those looking for a refresher. Learn about the procurement methods available to state agencies and when to use them. This includes Preferred Sources, centralized contracts, and agency contracts. You will also get information about discretionary purchases for items or services valued at $500,000 or less from NYS small businesses, MWBEs, SDVOBs, sellers of recycled/remanufactured products, and $200,000 or less for NYS food products.
