| Obtaining a New York State Vendor Identification Number |
If your company is not currently registered with the New York State Vendor File administered by the Office of the State Comptroller (OSC), please visit: (http://www.osc.state.ny.us/vendor_management/) for instructions on how to register.
Complete the OSC Substitute W-9 form (http://www.osc.state.ny.us/vendors/forms/ac3237_fe.pdf) and submit the form to OGS with your bid.
If your company is required to submit a Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire, OGS recommends completing the questionnaire online using the New York State VendRep System. In this case, your company must be assigned a Vendor ID to enroll in the VendRep System. To request assignment of a Vendor ID to access the VendRep System in advance of submitting your bid, contact the Office of the State Comptroller's Help Desk at 866-370-4672 or 518-408-4672 or by email at ciohelpdesk@osc.state.ny.us
Once the process is initiated, registrants will receive an e-mail identifying their unique ten-digit Vendor ID and instructions on how to enroll in the online Vendor Self-Service application.
